More Info: A Mexican-type avocado, the number one commercial variety in California. It is renowned for its rich nutty flavor and high oil content. The trees have a wide range, and can be grown in the southern regions of Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. Commercial ventures are best restricted to California, but dooryard gardeners throughout USDA hardiness zones 9 and 10.

Leading commercial cultivar in California. This is the most popular commercially grown variety.
